Jakub Matiašovič is a Slovak fashion designer whose collections emphasize fabric experimentation, innovative printing techniques, and unconventional garment structuring to enhance comfort and functionality. His designs draw inspiration from brutalist architecture, resulting in elegant pieces with a raw edge. Notable for their bold silhouettes and unique textile treatments, his creations seamlessly blend artistic vision with practical wearability. The collaboration between designer Jakub Matiašovič and the Czech studio Dezignezia introduces the first fully 3D-printed footwear in Slovakia. It represents a fusion of fashion design, technology, and functionality—the shoes are crafted as a single monolithic whole, seamless, zero-waste, and with a strong emphasis on circularity. This is more than just footwear; it is a testament to how local design from Czechia and Slovakia can perform on a global scale by integrating with cutting-edge technology. Here, 3D printing is not just a concept—it is a reality.
